This free, introductory craft workshop will help participants create an Artist Book, using a variety of elements to showcase their personal artistic styles. Using scrapbooking and bookbinding techniques, we will explore unconventional journaling, including using accordion books, loose-leaf paper hangers, and other objects, as a form of creative self-expression. Come with a desire to play and discover new ways of speaking visually using a collection of inspired imagery! This is a perfect gift or activity idea for Mother’s Day!
All necessary supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own personal mementos, such as photographs, stamps, or other materials you’d like to include in your book.
The workshop is limited to 20 participants; please register on our website at https://events.trl.org/event/artist-book-workshop. Each participant should register separately even if you plan to attend together.
